Various aspects of the C programming language
@alurm will be demonstrating various aspects of the C programming language.
A non-exhaustive list of topics we may talk about:
- C grammar: good, bad and ugly.
- Declarations and how to read them, identifiers, typedef.
- The notion of undefined behaviour.
- Array to pointer conversion, variable length arrays, flexible array members in structs.
- Awkward historical features.
- Compiler extensions: computed goto, operator overloading, unnamed fields, statement expressions, typeof.
- Linkage, symbols, the objdump utility.
The list above is quite large, so there's no guarantee that everything will be covered.
In any case, audience members are welcome to actively participate in the talk, to ask questions, and to direct the discussion.
