Junior Fullstack Engineer

SerpApi is the leading solution for integrating search data into web applications. Our API scrapes search engines, solves CAPTCHAs, and adapts to changing page layouts with a simple GET request. Our esteemed customers include Apple, Shopify, Airbnb, and GrubHub.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Fullstack Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, fixing, deploying, and monitoring SerpApi's APIs, features, and documentation. Our current technology stack includes Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, and JavaScript, with deployments on Linux servers hosted by DigitalOcean.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design APIs, solutions, and new features for integration into SerpApi.
- Deep dive into specific issues, becoming an expert in those areas.
- Write clean, polished, and well-considered code.
- Conduct pull request code reviews and assist fellow engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by customers.
- Prioritize issues from both private and public roadmaps.
- Test solutions thoroughly and address any problems before deployment to production.
- Write blog posts on interesting issues, promote APIs, and share technical solutions to complex problems.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Ruby, JavaScript, Proxies, CAPTCHA solving, web scraping, and/or browser technologies is a plus.
