Black holes exist in reality and not just in (bad) sci fi movies. With modern telescopes, astrophysicists can observe them, both in our own Milky Way and in other galaxies. But why are scientists all over the world fascinated by black holes? Where can we find them, both on the night sky and in publicly available datasets from space based telescopes? And what do they tell us about Life, the Universe and Everything?

In this talk, the astrophysicist and illustrator Victoria Grinberg will tackle these questions - without formulae and based on her own work and experience.
